BARTON—Barton Village residents can relax. Their roads will be plowed this winter, as they have been for the past two by a combination of state, town, and village trucks. The decision, while expected, raised a host of questions for the future of road maintenance and, perhaps, the village as well.
One of those questions, according to Nate Sicard, the chair of the Barton Village Trustees, is whether it makes sense for the village to continue to exist as a separate entity.
