CRAFTSBURY COMMON — Just past 6 p.m. a double line of students, 13 in number, clad in white or blue robes, processed through a throng of well wishers and took seats on either side of the stage set up on the bandstand of the common.  They were Craftsbury Academy’s class of 2026.

Principal Lisa McCarthy stood at the microphone and greeted the graduating class, the school’s faculty, family, friends, and community members.

“At the heart of every strong community is its school and at the heart of every strong school is its community,” Ms. McCarthy said.  “We are so fortunate to have both in Craftsbury.  This school does not exist in isolation.  It lives and breathes because of the involvement of our families and community, your time, your effort, your support, and your belief in what we do.  This year’s seniors model ….
