DERBY — What was once a hayfield with a spectacular view has been transformed through a labor of love into a thriving agritourism business in Derby Line.
Michelle Capron, owner of Lavender Essentials with her husband, Pierre, said their business was born from Mr. Capron’s romantic vision.
“He looked at this view and said, ‘oh my dear Lord, you’re not doing anything with this property?’” Ms. Capron said. “So, the vision for him was, as romantic as it felt for him to be here with me, he wanted everyone else to feel that same type of romance and to create experiences for people.”
The couple started planting lavender in 2017 and started making test products in 2018…
