NEWPORT — Police said an East Haven man assaulted a bouncer before being thrown out of the Lake House Saloon in Barton on Sunday. The bouncer asked 51-year-old Benjamin Clarke to leave the bar because he “wasn’t acting right,” State Trooper Sergeant Debra Munson’s affidavit says.
