Man sentenced for failing to register as sex offender

NEWPORT — A Newport man was sentenced to serve six months to four years after pleading guilty in the Criminal Division of Orleans County Superior Court here to a slew of charges, including failure to register as a sex offender, unlawful mischief of $1,000 or more, retail theft, unlawful trespassing, and multiple counts of violating conditions of release.
