Something Strange! on stage

NEWPORT—With drama and dance teacher Taryn Colby out on maternity leave, the students of North Country Union High School, with Kaeleb Berthiaume, a recent graduate of the school, as their leader took over the winter dance and drama program on December 11.

The student who clearly threw herself into the project most was Vivi Olmstead, whose play Something Strange! hit the boards with the impact of a lab explosion.  In fact, a lab explosion set the action of the drama in motion.

Dr. Vincent Lowery, played by Lyla Hardin with manical glee, is found in the process of making creepy clones of her son Jack Lowery (Ellie Brasseur).  He has clearly underestimated the power of the press …
