Bradley Reed Crowe
Bradley Reed Crowe, 78, died peacefully at North Country Hospital on July 16, 2026. He was born and raised in Island Pond. The youngest of five children born to Tom and Hazel (Chase) Crowe. He entered the Navy at 17, which gave him plenty of stories to tell. He was proud of his service, but the one story he didn’t talk about was being a P.O.W. in North Korea, from the U.S.S. Pueblo.
He married the love of his life, Sharon Lyon, on May 1, 1971. He began working for the phone company as a lineman, then a journeyman.
Brad made friends everywhere that he went. Whether it was solving the world’s problems over coffee at Martha’s Diner, his regular poker night with friends, Friday night mischief with his buddies from work, going on Pueblo reunions all over the U.S., taking numerous road trips, winters in Arizona and weekends in Island Pond with his large extended family.
When he finally became a grandparent, he loved family barbecue’s, swimming with the kids in the pool, and teaching them card games.
He is survived by his son and loving caregiver Chad Crowe, his daughters and sons-in-law: Karyn and Chris Wanek and Christie and Sean Brown; and his grandchildren: Hanna Lantagne, Abby and Maddie Pritz, and Sierra and Keith Brown. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Marlene Dawson. He would tell you that he loved his nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews all the same. But his family knows he had his favorites. “You know who you are (wink wink).”
Brad loved people and he loved to party. His celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 25, at the Curtis-Britch and Bouffard Funeral Home, 1199 Railroad Street, Island Pond. Calling hours are 9:30-10:30 a.m., with the service at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon is to follow at the Island Pond Legion at 11:30 a.m.

Kristi R. Hudson
Kristi R. Hudson, 55, of Gilmanton, New Hampshire, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Concord Hospital following a courageous eleven-year journey with metastatic breast cancer.
Born in Newport on October 13, 1970, Kristi was the beloved daughter of Raymond and Christina (Darby) Routhier.
Kristi dedicated her career to caring for others as a radiologic technologist at the Orthopedic Professional Association in Gilford and Concord Hospital — Laconia. She was known for her compassion, kindness, and commitment to her patients and coworkers.
Above all else, Kristi cherished her family. Affectionately known as “Nana” by her beloved grandchildren, she treasured every moment spent with them. She found joy in cooking, baking, gardening, and walking along the beach. Kristi had a generous heart and a deep love for her family, friends, and community. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud Nana, cherished daughter, caring sister, and loyal friend whose warmth and strength touched the lives of so many.
Kristi is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Hudson, of Gilmanton; her son Nathan Hudson of Gilmanton; her daughter Emily Underwood and her husband, Jake, of Gilmanton; her cherished grandchildren: Eli and Avarie Underwood; her parents, Raymond and Christina “Tina” Routhier of Derby Line; and her sister Amy Stimets and her husband, Jon, of Tampa, Florida.
A memorial service celebrating Kristi’s life will be held at the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford, on Wednesday, July 22, at 11 a.m., with reception to follow. The family encourages attendees to dress casually and colorfully per Kristi’s wishes.

Donald Joseph LeBlanc
Donald Joseph LeBlanc, 70, of Colchester, died peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester after living with ALS. He spent his final days surrounded by the love and presence of his family and close friends.
Donald was born on October 20, 1955, in Newport, to Norman and Celine (Bonneau) LeBlanc. He was raised in various communities throughout Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, including Lowell, Jay, and Troy.
Donald married Cathy Ste. Marie in North Troy on July 28, 1984. Together, they shared nearly 42 years of marriage and built a life centered around their family.
Donald began his working years at Space Research Corporation in North Troy and later worked at Shell Craft in Winooski. He then spent 29 years at IBM, where he worked as a maintenance technician. During his semi-retirement, Donald enjoyed working as a driver for O’Reilly Auto Parts. Whether working for his employers or helping his family, Donald was an exceptionally hard worker and approached everything he did with meticulous care.
A natural tinkerer, he spent countless hours at his workbenches in the basement and garage, reinventing or repairing things. In his family’s eyes, nothing was ever truly broken unless Donald could not fix it.
Donald was passionate about hunting, snowmobiling, searching for shark teeth on Florida beaches, traveling with his family, and spending time near the water — whether on a beach vacation or at the family camp on Lake Champlain in St. Albans. He especially enjoyed sharing “brewskis” with his friends and telling stories using his unique expressions, affectionately known as “Donny-isms.”
Living with ALS was extraordinarily difficult, and Donald faced its many physical and emotional challenges with courage, determination, and remarkable strength. Even as the disease took away most of the things he had once been able to do independently, he continued to fight for every good day and remained determined to live life as fully as he could.
Donald was grateful to take one final hunting trip to Illinois with his good friend Paul Kilbury, and to enjoy several last snowmobile rides with his brother-in-law Greg Ste. Marie, during the final months of his life. During his final summer, Donald treasured visits with family and friends in his garage, where he could sit in the warmth of the sun, look out over his green lawn, enjoy family cookouts, and spend time with those closest to him.
Donald loved his family immensely. Among his greatest joys and proudest moments were seeing both of his daughters graduate from college and walking them down the aisle at their weddings. He was ecstatic to become a Pepere, and nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his granddaughters — feeding them, playing with them, and napping beside them.
Donald was a loving and genuine man whose dedication and loyalty to his family and friends never wavered. Donald is survived by his wife, Cathy LeBlanc; his daughters: Chelsea LaFramboise and her husband, John, and Lindsay Campbell and her husband, Joey; his granddaughters: Makenna Campbell and Callie LaFramboise; his father, Norman LeBlanc; his sisters: Lucy Bathalon and her husband, Paul, and Gloria Blake and her husband, Bill; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Celine (Bonneau) LeBlanc; his father-in-law, Paul Ste. Marie; his brother-in-law Peter Ste. Marie; and his nephew Aaron Demers.
A funeral Mass will be held on August 31, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 784 Main Street in Colchester. A celebration of life will follow at the Main Barn at Lang Farms, 51 Upper Main Street, Essex Junction. Guests are invited to wear something camouflage in Donald’s honor.
Donald’s family and friends will participate in the Walk to Defeat ALS in September. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Donald’s memory to their Walk to Defeat ALS team, Don’s Dears.

Donald will be dearly missed by his family, his many friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. Linda (Kennison) McAllister
Linda (Kennison) McAllister, 70, of Lowell and Troy died after a battle with cancer on July 14, 2026. She grew up in Newport Center, which is where she would meet her future husband, Gary McAllister. From there, she followed her husband in the military (USAF), being honorably discharged in Tacoma, Washington. After they settled back home in Newport Center, Gary worked as supervisor at Butterfield tap and die and then with his brother at McAllister Concrete for over 30 years.
He had a brief retirement and enjoyed Florida with Linda for several years, but he, too, succumbed way too early to cancer in 2023 at 68.
In Newport Center, they raised two children: their daughter Jaime and their son Kevin. Linda worked several jobs and enjoyed gardening, four wheeling, and especially enjoying time with her four grandchildren: Trevor, McKenna, Cadence, and Savannah. Linda leaves behind her daughter Jaime McAllister, and Kevin and Jessica McAllister and their four children. She also leaves behind two brothers: Gary and Cindy Kennison and Terry and Brenda Kennison, several brothers- and sisters in-law, and nieces and nephews. Both Gary and Linda passed through this life way too soon, but the laughter, joy, and help they brought to so many will live on forever in the lasting memories they left.
