GLOVER — Thinking ahead was the theme at a select board meeting held June 11, as its members considered Glover Day preparations, upcoming renovations to municipal buildings, and the latest on the Shadow Lake dam.
Before discussing any official business, board chair Adam Heuslein offered a reminder that “these meetings are in the public, not of the public.”
Noting this irony that only reporters and town officials were in attendance at this particular meeting, he went on: “We will start enforcing that more, because we’re not going to continue to have midnight meetings, so we are going to have public comment at the start,” he said.
He said the board will address public comments at the end of each meeting and will not tolerate interruptions that prevent it from carrying out its business. ….
