911, COVID, devastating floods — we were there! Our mission has always been to provide accurate, unbiased news that matters… even when times are tough!  

Many have asked why we do not recruit for donations. Well, that implies that the health of the paper is in jeopardy. We are not a part of that statistic of failing newspapers because we do not have high salaries or a lot of debt. We work with the budget we have. Would we like more operating money? Certainly.
