 Prisoners favor new anti-addiction drug

Some inmates at Northern State Correctional Facility here are exploring new frontiers in prison contraband.  In the past month or so, several people have appeared in the Orleans Criminal Division of Superior Court and admitted trying to smuggle buprenorphine strips into the prison.

Holland voters approve amended school budget

HOLLAND — Holland voters narrowly approved the school board’s revised budget Tuesday night with 57 votes for and 44 votes against.  The $1,077,880 budget is down $20,620 from the buget defeated at Town Meeting.
