NEWPORT CENTER — This snowy winter, Kingdom residents see snowmobiles zipping across the horizon almost everywhere they look. Most are newer models, but some owners like to bring out their old school sleds. From fixer-uppers to antiques, owners hauled out their snowmobiles from across the decades for a show on Saturday, January 31.
Riders have been coming out to Robert Tetreault’s farm for five years to take part in the annual show. He’s a member of the Country Riders Snowmobile Club, assisting in their efforts to groom and maintain trails in the area. His history with snowmobiles dates back as old as his farm. That’s why he shows John Deere sleds — they’re what Mr. Tetreault rode back in that day.
