GLOVER — After receiving two significant honors in the past month — an honorary degree from Concordia University in Montreal and the Herb Lockwood Prize, a $10,000 award presented in memory of a Burlington artist who died in 1987 — Peter Schumann wanted to talk about what he sees as a major misunderstanding.
“It’s an ill-conceived notion that art is made by a single person,” he told a reporter who spent several years touring with the Glover-based Bread and Puppet Theater, the company he founded and directs.
