With the cool closing in and the season for outdoor sports starting to wind down, seasons for soccer are coming to a close. That however does not mean that Rangers of Lake Region Union High School are done putting their best foot forward. In a match against U-32’s Raiders on Thursday, October 10, the Rangers continued to show that they’re willing to give their all down to the last second, no matter the score on the board.
The match wasn’t slow to start as some bouts can be, with each team taking to the ball and trying to keep a fast pace. The first real attempts at an early score came from the Rangers, but to no avail. The Raiders put up a strong defense, keeping the Rangers out after their first attempts at scoring. Senior midfielder Owen Rogers was one of the Rangers who showed promise throughout the whole game, but was put under heavy pressure by the visiting Raiders. In particular, Owen Dyer was a staunch and stoic defender for the Raiders.
