BARTON — Two Republicans, two Democrats, and an independent running for the two Orleans-Essex House seats squared off at a candidate forum here Monday night, explaining why they want the job and where they stand on the issues.

About 15 people showed up to listen and ask questions.  The district includes Barton, Glover, Albany, Greensboro, Craftsbury, Sheffield, and Wheelock.

The incumbents are Republican Vicki Strong of Albany and Democrat Sam Young of Glover.  Challengers are Republican Frank Huard of Craftsbury, Democrat Danielle Cote Sukkaew of Albany, and independent Tabitha Armstrong of Glover.
