OCSU moves on equity, pay raises

BARTON — The Orleans Central Supervisory Union (OCSU) Board discussed the rollout of its equity policy at its September 2 meeting.   Members also approved a pay raise for substitutes, provided an update on the reopening of schools, and issued a statement to teachers in response to Senator Russ Ingalls’ sharing of a teacher’s email address.

The board discussed the rollout of OCSU’s equity policy.  Board chair Amy Leroux, who represents Irasburg, said the board had a conversation, and some people expressed concerns about smaller boards making changes to the policy after the OCSU adopted it.

“What we would like to do is have alignment with this policy for all three boards: OCSU, Lake Region, and the elementary middle school board,” she said.
