Nature photography on display at Craftsbury care center

• Bookmarks: 71

Warren Walker, Cabot nature photographer, is exhibiting his work at the Craftsbury Community Care Center during March. Mr. Walker will attend an artist reception on Friday, March 16, at 4 p.m., at the care center.

He is a sixth-generation Vermonter raised on a diary farm in northern Vermont and still lives on a corner of the farm, which was originally purchased by his great-grandparents.

“I have always been interested in the natural world,” Mr. Walker said in an artist’s statement. “In 2001, I combined a long-time interest in wildflowers with a new interest in digital photography. Since then, I have photographed over 150 species of native Vermont wildflowers. While looking for wildflowers, I will try photographing anything that catches my eye.

“I am no a landscape photographer,” he added, “but I do love waterfalls. Unlike flowers, waterfalls can be found and photographed all year in Vermont.” — from the Craftsbury Community Care Center.
