Legislators grilled about gun laws

BARTON — It didn’t require a poll to predict that the 100 or so people who turned up at the Memorial Building Monday night did not favor the gun bill under consideration by the Vermont Legislature. But Tabitha Armstrong, the organizer of the meeting, conducted several straw votes during the two-and-a-half-hour gathering to show the six legislators who participated the depth of opposition to S.55.
