NEWPORT — Dozens of job seekers descended on the Emory Hebard State Office Building here Friday for a job fair organized by a team of folks who say they collaborate often.

The event ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and by the midpoint about 75 people had come in to look around and speak with the 40 employers represented at the job fair.  The Chronicle met with the organizers at that point to hear about how the day came together.

Sarah Corrow of the Community College of Vermont (CCV) had been at it since 5 a.m., and said she spent all week getting the rooms set up to host employers and job hunters.
