BRIGHTON — Emergency crews were called to the John H. Boylan Airport in Brighton at 3:45 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, they discovered the scorched wreckage of a 1956 Piper Pacer roughly 100 yards south of the runway. Though first responders could not identify the deceased pilot, on Tuesday morning State Police said in a press release that the victim was retired Civil Air Patrol Lieutenant Colonel Mark Biron, 60, of Brighton.
