Margaret E. ( Dukett ) Abel

Margaret Abel, 92, of Glover, formerly of Newport, died on Sunday, February 27, in Glover where she resided at the Union House Nursing Home for the past few years.
She was born on October 30, 1918, in Lunenburg, a daughter of Philip and Loretta (Hartshorn) Guillemette.
Her hobbies included reading, doing crossword puzzles, and enjoying her family and life in general.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her son Philip and his wife, Sharon Dukett; her daughter Darlene Rever and her husband, Gary, all of Newport; grandchildren Cathy and Scott Rever of Derby; Tracy Turner of Farmington, Connecticut, Lisa Reed of Newport, Leon Dukett of West Charleston, Amy Buck of Newport Center and Scott Gervais of St.   Johnsbury; by her great-grandchildren:  Tyler and Trevor Brown of Derby, Cady Polgroszek of St. Albans, Aidan Davis of Newport , Joshua and Natasha Buck of Newport Center; by great-great-grandaughter Emma Polgroszek of St. Albans; and by several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, John Abel Sr.; by sons Thomas and Leon Dukett; stepdaughter Gloria Thomas; and by several brothers and sisters.
There will be no calling hours.  A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Pine Grove Cemetary.

Neil Carriere

Neil Carriere, 55, of Underhill died on February 5 in Underhill.
He was born in St. Johnsbury on May 2, 1955, a son of Geraldine Carriere and Maurice Carriere.
He worked for the Visiting Nurses Association.  He had lots of hobbies, including fishing and doing a lot of different crafts.
He is survived by friend Tina Meacham; son Aaron Meacham; his mother, Geraldine Carriere, and her companion Donald Farnsworth; brothers Douglas and his wife, Diana, Peter, Tony and his wife, Melody; sisters Sharon and her husband, Kevin Sabens, and Carlene Perry; aunt and uncle Doris and Richard Meserve; aunt Alice Caswell, aunt Helena and uncle Dale Ewens; and lots of nieces and newphews.  He was predeceased by two wives; his father, Maurice Carriere; and a sister, Darlene Carriere Dixon.
A funeral will be held on May 7 at 2 p.m. at the Lyndon Center cemetery. .
Mary Dunn
Mary Alice (Hamil) Dunn, 87, died on Sunday, February 20, 2011, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in New Harmony, Indiana.
She was born in Troy, New York, on October 20, 1923, the oldest of two children, to John and Elizabeth (O’Keefe) Hamil.
She was an Irish descendent of Mary Queen of Scots.  She married George Bernard Dunn Jr. in 1944 in Schenectady, New York.  They had three children, one daughter and two sons.  Mrs. Dunn was blessed with seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dunn had worked as a dental hygienist.  She was quite a seamstress and had made several wedding gowns, one for her daughter and several for friends.  She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and had made over 100 afghans, most of which were given away.  She was an avid collector of Hummel figurines, dishes and spoons. At Christmas time, Mrs. Dunn would make dozens of cookies to be enjoyed by family and friends.  She traveled to Switzerland and England.  She had lived in New York, Lynn, Massachusetts, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Royal Palm Beach, Florida, and recently in Mt. Vernon and Evansville, Indiana.  She had numerous friends in each place she had lived.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, George; and her brother, James Hamil.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret (Peg) Redwine, and her husband, James; sons James Dunn and his wife, Kathleen, and Gerald Dunn; grandchildren Heather Ricketts and her husband, Tony, Nichole Faulkner and her husband, Doug, James Ramsey, Eric Miller, Sarah Sidler and her husband, Adam, Hannah Dunn, Lieutenant Colonel James Redwine and his wife, Gina; great-grandchildren Alec and Adrian Ricketts, Kerstin Sutton, Paxton and Jonathan Faulkner, Bodie and Clea Miller, Cali and Aiden Sidler, Nick and Elyse Redwine; sisters-in-law Ann Hamil and Ellen Beaudoin and her husband, Albert; and by nephew Bob Brown and his wife, Rachel.
A funeral service was held on February 28 at the United Church of Craftsbury in Craftsbury Common.  Spring interment will be in the Craftsbury Common cemetery.

Jacintha Ann (Faust) Lane
Jacintha A. (Faust) Lane, 30, of Johnson died at Copley Hospital in Morrisville on Thursday, February 24, 2011.
She was born in Newport, January 1, 1981, a daughter of Durwood Johnson and Marielle S. Faust.
On July 15, 2003, she married Michael D. Lane.
She loved everyone; especially her children and family.  She collected zebras, loved fishing, and was proud of her three-and-a-half-pound trout mounted on the wall.  She loved fried chicken and enjoyed a ride in a snowstorm.  Due to multiple sclerosis (MS) she was confined to her home for eight years.  For the last three, she was confined to her bed.
She leaves her loving and devoted husband, Michael; a son, Clinton Stevens, of Eden; daughter Makayla Stevens of Johnson; her mother, Marielle Faust, of Orleans; two brothers, Travis Terrell of Orleans and David Johnson of Maine; sister Kelly Robinson and her husband, David, of Newport Center; maternal grandparents Romeo and Alice Faust of Orleans; her father-in-law, Leslie Lane, of Laconia, New Hampshire; and sister-in-law Harriet Corbin and her husband, Bill, of Laconia.
A memorial serivce will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, at the White-Fiess Funeral Home in Morrisville.  Her final resting place will be in St. Theresa’s Cemetery in Barton.

Marjorie Webber
Marjorie Webber of Wharton, New Jersey, and Newark died on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover, New Jersey.
She was born on November 2, 1924.
Mrs. Webber was an executive secretary to the national director of distribution at RCA Records, Rockaway, until 1980.  She then worked in the patent law division of the legal office at Picatinny Arsenal until 1987, then at Cigna Healthcare in Rockaway as secretary to the director of finance from 1990 until 2000.
She was a member and past president of the Wharton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, president of the United Methodist Women of St. John’s Church, and a member of the Leisure Club of Sacred Heart Church in Dover.  She also attended the Newark Union Church and the Island Pond Congregational Church of Island Pond.
She was predeceased by siblings William Hubbard, Lenora Hubbard and Charles Hubbard.  She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William Webber Jr.; by daughter Ginny Vanorskie and her husband, Lou, of Schooley’s Mountain, New Jersey; by four sons:  James Hubbard and his wife, Ellen, William Webber III and his wife, Gail, and John T. Webber, all of Wharton, R. Gerald Webber and his wife, Kathy, of St. Johnsbury; by eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on February 25 at the funeral home.  Interment followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Washington, New Jersey, 40 East Church Street, Washington, New Jersey 07882-1485.
