Reining Hope in Morgan offers an exceptional service. All are welcome, but owner Kristin Mason’s expertise may be in working with individuals or groups who have special needs and can benefit from a close relationship with a horse, as well as Kristin’s particular skills. Among other things, she’s spent well over a decade teaching riders who have physical, emotional, cognitive, and social special needs.
Reining Hope offers equine-assisted activities for people both with and without special needs. They include: riding lessons, summer day camps, horse boarding, horse training, workshops and clinics, mentoring aspiring instructors, volunteer training and education, field trips, and more. Kristin also does equine and canine massage and energy work. She has more than 30 years experience as a veterinary technician.
Kristin is a PATH International certified advanced therapeutic riding instructor and an equine specialist in mental health and learning. Hers is the only stable in the area with 13 years experience in both areas. Her personal journey started in Derby, but the career paths she chose left her with the skills and experience needed to become certified and build her own place, which includes a newly built facility with an office, a barn, and an indoor arena.
Reining Hope is no ordinary riding stable. It’s much more. Kristin offers people the opportunity for personal growth and development in a safe, enjoyable, and compassionate environment. “We’re able to enhance the experience and challenge for individuals as they strive to reach their full potential,” she says.
Anyone, be they four years old, or 84 years old, can benefit from Reining Hope’s unique program.
