He took over at Parson’s Corner ten months ago, and the parking lot in downtown Barton is generally full.

Parson’s Corner has a family setting, and its staff is friendly and hard-working. For his part, Mr. Rath says he enjoys greeting his customers and making them feel welcome.

The menu appeals to most everyone and relies heavily on good, old-fashioned, New England fare — hearty soups, burgers, hot and cold sandwiches, fresh salads, and favorites like fries and onion rings.
