Antiques and Emporium
Antiques and Emporium, on the
South Wheelock Road in
Lyndonville, is always buying and selling antiques, collectibles, quality used furniture, and gold and silver.
It’s been in business for 12 years, and owners Paul and Lucy Steele say they will pay the highest prices
for your valuables. Mr. Steele started dealing parttime and selling at flea markets back in the 1970s. A love of antiques led him to consign at antique group shops throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. The next step involved auctions, and for six years he
ran an auction service. Eventually, he concluded that he’d like to run his own antique shop, and opened Antiques and Emporium in Lyndonville in a rented facility in 2000. The business has since moved to the former Corner Medical building, originally the Lyndon Corner School, built in 1872. It was damaged by fire in 2002, but Mr. Steele has completely restored it to house his thriving business. The new location was ready for customers in 2005.
Antiques and Emporium is a group shop with motivated dealers, a
huge variety, and low prices. Stop by and check out their wares; you’re
sure to run across a treasure or two, or simply find a practical and much-needed item at a fair price.
