The Chronicle is the award-winning weekly journal of Orleans County, with some coverage extending to the far reaches of the Northeast Kingdom and statewide.  We have covered the news since 1974 and more recently are learning how to adapt our work to fit into the online life of our readers and advertisers.   Three times a week we post new content on the free part of our website, and the entire weekly newspaper is available in digital form by subscription.

Thanks to all of you who have been reading since the beginning, and thanks to those who are taking a look at us for the first time.  Our newspaper circulation is 7,200 papers sold each week.  We all know of neighbors who share a paper between two households, so it’s clear to us that the newspaper studies that show about three people read each weekly newspaper are accurate if not low.  So by advertising in the paper, you will reach at least 21,000 people who are each likely to spend 45 minutes with that edition.  Website advertising can be an excellent supplement and will help your business reach new customers and different ones from the folks who read the paper.  Our site gets about 19,000 page views and about 5,500 unique visitors a month.  About half of these visitors are new ones each month.
